[Poi Boy]

Anyone know the story behind the lens on the epic body on the red site ?

Looks like the new housing for the 18-50 or the 50-150.

[Alexander Christ]

Looks like a prime. It has only two rings, one for aperture and the other for focus (10-60 visible).

Can't be a prime if it's a zoom lens. (10-60)

[Jeff Kilgroe]

What are you guys talking about? The EPIC images have a prime. Looks like the upcoming 50mm to me, just like the prototype that was on the EPIC mock-up at NAB. Two gear rings, the one closest to the mount is the iris.

[chuck colburn]

Ah I see. I haven't seen this camera yet. I assumed that when AC said it had 10-60 written on it that it was a zoom lens.

[Alexander Christ]

...10, 12, 15, up to 60 are the focus marks.

Odd numbers for a footage scale. Where's the infinity mark? Sure sounds like focale length numbers to me.

[Alexander Christ]

the infinity mark is covered (see picture). 2 gear rings => prime

[Johan Lindgren]

Or It´s a new 10-60 Autofocus lens.
If so you would not have use for a focus ring, right :usd:

I wouldn't put any stock in the numbers on that scale. This is just a CG mock-up.

Hahaha. You guys are entertaining once again.
That photo is their 85mm Prime lens.
The first lens developed in their set of prime lenses.
