Recording error no media path

ok so i format the card and it tells me that it is ready to be used but it keeps telling me the media is not formated so i hit record anyway and it tells me no media path. any help would be great.

Format the Card with your PC or Mac, and than try it again to format in the Camera, helped me sometimes, but i didn´t have this issue since i went to B16.

it is build 16 i just got the camera yesterday i thought it would be 17. i will give it a try thanks.

ok i formated the card in my mac book pro and still the same problem.

Put the CF card back in the camera, and re-format it again.

Now can you tell me which CF card you have ?

Also what RESOLUTION, QUALITY and FRAME RATE / TIME BASE you are trying to record?

What does the lower left section of the LCD / EVF display say?

That's your problem. For some reason that CF card isn't formatted, so the camera throws up that error.

Can you try that on-camera again?

Once formatted it should tell you the format of the clip you are about to record - such as 2K RAW 23.98

have 3 of the 8 gig 300x umda and they do the same thing i think there is something wrong with my cf reader in the red. i will test the cards with another red tomorrow and we will see.

Try taking off the side CF panel and reseating the cables.
