Build 20.1.3

Camera was recording OK all day.
Then from the next take onwards, we get the message "Record Error Audio Fault" on the screen.

Logged a fault with support, bur does anyone else have this problem?
Any workarounds? Clues?

It's not our day, this is the 2nd problem today!

Fixed for now...

Fixed for now...

Whilst waiting for a response from Red, we decided to use the downtime to backup the RedRAID.

After backing it up, we reformatted it on camera.

And then it worked.

But still no reply from Red.
Any idea what caused this error???

I have had it happen before but not on build 20...and when i did i didn't even have any audio recording! Never found a solution, just reformatted and rebooted till it worked.
I also got a codec error on build 20 last week, on a simple shot for the camera....again rebooting and away we went.

Welcome to RED world, where everything works 98% of the time...but just on occasion it's....'ahhhh sorry, no thanks...turn me off while i think about it then i may let you continue shooting'...bit like a big ego on set:)

Had this issue on build 20 when I pressed Critical focus (user key 1) during record. Recreated the fault many times.

I had the same error a dozen times last weekend. I had never had it before that day, and I think it is an issue related to build 20.1.3. It didn't happen when I changed to CF cards, so I sent in my drive to RED for evaluation. Still no word on what is wrong with it.

I have dealt with that error in the past. I have found that if you are not recording a scratch track but your audio channel is still active it will cause this fault. Figured it out after the sound guys left for the day and we recorded mos with the audio channel still active. Now I turn the audio channels off when I go mos and haven't had the problem since

awesome! that's great info. just bought a 320gb drive off of a fellow reduser and was kind of freaking out today when I couldn't record more than a few minutes mos without error. reformatted, had audio going, and it seems to be smooth sailing.
