Okay, so when I'm doing offline editing with the 512 res files and want to go reconnect the 2k footage, I'm having a problem with my sequence ratio. What I mean is, that the 2k footage is replaced but it's not the full image. It takes the 2k image and squares it off like the 512x288 image. So I'm only seeing 512x288 of the 2048x1152 image. I go to the canvas window and click on fit window and nothing happens. My sequence is in 2048x1152, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

I am aware of "ClipFinder", but I'm just testing some work flows for own taste. Why would this happen? What did I do wrong.

My Suspicion - Final Cut has automatically stretched the small video to fit your timeline.

When you reconnect your media, it stretches the new video by the same percentage amount.

Open up the video on the timeline, go to the motion properties, and return the scale to 100% and it should fit right.
