Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I use a Blackmagic Decklink card. Am I right to suppose that the card converts the signal automatically to a broadcast friendly format, that is 16-235? In other words I can freely work with 0-255 in my computer, but what I see in the monitor is 16-235?
I have faced some problems with the whites appearing whiter during broadcast than what I saw in my monitor.
I am not familiar with the card from a usage point of view. The card can do one of three things; 1) clip values 0-15 and 236-255, 2) scale 0-255 to 16-235, 3) pass full range and let the user decide how to manage from within the software application.
