without the possibility of being google-stalked by 9 billion people is very nice.

9 billion? They can stalk me! I work in the entertainment industry.

Seriously, I do respect the opinions here and do value privacy. I just don't think the internet is where you go for it. You CAN read this forum without anyone knowing who you are. If you want to contribute - I think that the requirements are the choice of site owner. There are MANY other sites you can post comments without using your real name -

I vote 100% for real names. Sorry.

Yes Mark, and now they can also stalk your new son with your posting his birth announcement here on REDuser.

for what it's worth ... you'll always be number6 to me.

Thanks Mark, and as long as you keep your logo next to your name, I will always say Mark L. Pederson... who's he?... then I'll see your logo and exclaim OH YEAH! OFF HOLLYWOOD!:)

Guess I should just relent, since I've already spilled the frijoles... Go ahead Jason and change Number6 to numero seis.... just kidding. change it to J. P. Bolivar... and if you insist, you can add the Shagnausty...(sigh)

J. P. Bolivar Shagnasty, at large.
Put THAT on my report!

as if we needed any more proof of how easy it is to say inappropriate things when hiding behind a fake name...sheesh...

Inappropriate? Meryem, if you are standing in quicksand and I know it and you don't, is it appropriate of me to say "You know of course that you are standing in quicksand?"

You assume a lot, don't you? Seeing quicksand in a sandbox...

I've been involved in a coupla instances of identity theft and it had nothing to do with the gibberish that I write on forums....if they're gonna getcha, this isn't the likely pathway. Be soothed.

Sorry, but until I meet you in person and hear your arguments in depth, your words do not sooth me. For all i know, you may be the identity thief!

Not accusin'... just makin' a point.

you may be the identity thief!

of course, since I use my real name with impunity on this and other forums, you could always google my online yammerings and get a pretty clear picture of whether my profile fits that of an identity thief or not...

But enough about me, go back to jousting with Mark! he's much better at it....

You SAY you are using your real name, but you may be using Meryem Ersoz's real name and he may be Loost on an island somewhere in the Pacific for all we know. Or maybe he died as a child and you stole his name off his gravestone and, and.....

I'm just bummed I have to give up this clever pseudonym and go back to being known as Fred Garvin. :waaa:

Mods... in the name of decency... can't we make an exception for Fred, and let him use the pseudonym Erik Bien?
