It's been awhile since I visited the Red forum.. or kept up with Red camera news for that matter... In fact, I just left Red's homepage and am blown away by the cameras they're offering now... The Scarlett is now basically the camera an Epic was a few years ago.. this is just plain craziness..
anyways.. We've been busy researching all sorts of stuff... and trying to keep up with the tidal wave of work that's always looming...
Our latest exoskeleton designed for paraplegic mobility, Mina V2, has actuators at the hips, knees, and ankles. We've also developed a touch screen UI for the operator, allowing the pilot to fully control the device. In October, we competed in the Cybathlon (worlds first Cyber Olympics) and I figured you might enjoy the vids I produced to update the public on our progress last year in the build up to the competition. There are nine videos in total and most of them are under two minutes long. I highly recommend watching them all in order to truly garner a sense of what the true state of robotic assistive devices is.
Sadly... No Red's were used in the filming of these videos (we're a non-for profit so we can accept donations... hint hint)...
