same thing happened to my card after upgrading to build 30 i tried to roll back but the problem came with it.

I might be being cynical here but RedCineX seems to offer upgrades quite a lot (more than Davinci) and from reading these posts it seems to be that upgrading kills cards.

Is this not something RED should be taking a lot more seriously?

I Tried these steps and still getting the same msg. I tried it without the mink box cover on so i could see the fans are working (they are) but i notice even after a few seconds the card itself gets very hot and there is a little red light comes on at the top of the card. Anyone seen this before?

I've just had a thought...I recently updated my mac to OSX V 10.9.2
Do you think this could have anything to do with it???

I'm just trying to work out why this seemed to happen when I made changes and maybe my Rocket isn't dead...

My quad core system with a GTX 770 transcodes 16 fps without a rocket, so I don't use the rocket much anymore, except on multi-camera 4k HD shoots. If you have a fully loaded iMac it might do ok without a rocket, worst case scenario.

Yeah my mac can handle transcoding at a decent level but Il ike having the rocket for that bit extra. I'm interested in you theory on the other post about changing Pci lane. Coyl=uld you expand on this please

I don't know exactly why, but in many cases, rebooting a few times without the rocket mounted, changing pci-e slots, or adding a single lane pci-e card to another slot seems to fix certain mounting issues that updating a rocket might cause.

I know 5 people with Red Rocket Cards.
I am one of them.
Of all the people I know who have cards - not one of them is working.
I can't even hire one at this point.
Mine started giving an error in January.
What a bummer.
