I saved a .rcn file that had initial color grading in it. But I have since moved the footage from one hard drive to another. When I open the .rcn file, all of the file markers show in RedCine, but the clips aren't there. How do I re-link the shots? Thanks.

bump

not sure many are reading the RedCine board

I hate to keep rebumping, but would like to know for current and future reference. Anyone know what I mean by my initial post?

Yes, it's annoying, but I have faith that it will get added sometime soon. It's necessary given that I for one often colour correct from a backup on set to show the client, then they later on want to use the same project file to save time and can't as they've moved the footage to their SAN or wherever.

Cheers,

Paul

you can open the rcn file in textedit to find the path it is looking for so you can recreate the same path with your new drive. assuming you didn't modify the folder structure and only moved your footage to a new drive, it should be as simple as renaming your hard drive to match the name of the original drive.
