RDC versus R3D files Imported into FCP?

I've had various RED camera since September, 2008. I use FCP. In the past I've been able to import a .RDC folder. Recently the only way I can get them to import is by opening the folder and importing the R3D files. I don't think this makes any difference but I have a Mac M3. Would love to know the answer! Hello Judy,

Perhaps you might take a screen recording of your import process where we can troubleshoot what's going on.
I too have not had any issue importing the RDC folder including just an hour ago so I don't think anything changed operationally with Final Cut Pro.
Hopefully we can put minds together to figure this out.
