Hi, I am working on a music video shot with a red scarlet.

When I view the r3d clip within RCXP Player, the quality is much nicer and well saturated.

When I import the clips into PP CS6 using Media Browser, cut my sequence, and export (h.264, any resolution, any bitrate, the quality looks desaturated .

Any thoughts? Am I forgetting to change a setting somewhere?

i have similar issues, so would love to know a fix as well

I suspect that it is the LCD monitor I have.

I watched what I uploaded to youtube on my MacBook Pro and my SMart TV and the quality looks great but when viewing from the PC i cut on, it looks less saturated. Maybe it's time to upgrade monitors!

You may be expierencing a TV-->PC levels conversion issue. Quicktime player on Windows doesn't do this conversion, and VLC wont do it unless you tweak some settings manually.

Use the NLE going out to a calibrated display using external hardware like a Black-magic or AJA I/O to verify your output files.

I use MPC-HC for validating files on the desktop since it is a color manged video player in windows and will work as long as you have a valid .ICC profile for your display. Premiere Pro at this moment is still not fully color managed (it assumes you are monitoring on an sRGB display) which can cause headaches if you use a wide gammut display, or have different video players that color manage your video.

Also Windows 8 tries to download a generic .icc profile for your display. I find it causes more problems that it solves and I generally remove those if you can't get your display profiled. At least you wont run into color management hell with no third party profiles installed.
