  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Upon opening RCX build 356 (which has worked fine in the past) and then selecting an R3D file to grade/playback... nothing happens.

The footage shows up in the browser and the bin but when I drag a clip to the timeline or viewer nothing happens... they remain black as if nothing is there? Eventually I get the spinning wheel of death and RCX crashes or I have to force quit.

I've done all the obvious things:
1. restarted computer
2. re-downloaded and re-installed RCX
3. created new user in OSX
4. toggled Rocket on and off

System Specs:
MacPro 2X2.26 Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon (16GB RAM)
OSX 10.6.7 (clean new OS drive)
ATI Radeon 5770
Kona 3
Red Rocket
RCX build 356

Also, RedAlert and Clipfinder seem to be working fine... so it doesn't appear to be the R3D files or the MacPro.
Looks like RedCineX build 356 with the current OSX 10.6.7 ? or the Rocket?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Try reinstalling the driver/firmware. For some reason we are investigating the upgrade to 10.6.7 causes an issue. However, in each case we have seen a reinstall fixed the problem.

Thanks David.
That worked!
Everything back to normal.

Wasn't there an issue with 10.6.7 update deleting certain video drivers?
