Hope someone has a better answer than I've come up with... Right now when I export a still from RCX Pro, I have an issue with the color space embedded, or lack thereof.

When I export using the Snapshot button, it's embedding my display's color calibration profile. When I export using individual stills in the stills pane, it's embedding a generic RGB profile, which isn't properly color managing for the web, devices etc. often unless I convert it to sRGB in Photoshop.
Obviously a batch script takes care of that, but there are a lot of times where I am taking a rough grade or even a final grade from RCX and exporting at a predetermined resolution without roundtripping through PS. And even then, it's probably a good idea to give us the ability to select the embedded color space.

Am I missing a setting? Or is this something that's coming?

thanks!

Harrison

Hi Harrison,

By default snapshot will embed your displays default color profile when doing a TIFF. If you want to avoid this, you can set your snapshot settings to use an export preset. Configure your preset to TIFF and set the Color Profile setting to None.

Or if you want to export with an e.g. sRGB as an embedded profile just create a TIFF export preset with that as the colour profile.
