  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RCX PRO build 12

Very bizarre (but fortunate) thing just happened. I was just preparing some files for you to examine and the 1/2 debayer just started to work. The only thing I did was resave a trimmed R3D that I was about to send you. I figured I would just send you a smaller file. I was going to send you the corrupted quicktimes from the trimmed R3D too... but it suddenly decided to play nice! So, I'm not sure how saving a trimmed R3D could have fixed this but it did.

Bob, please send us your RCX and RedExport log files to redcinex at red dot com so we can investigate your issue.

We NEED the monitor Panel to FLOAT ---for that matter ALL panels to FLOAT--so we can move them on our workspace/Monitor---i know sometime ago most suggested a flat workspace---but i don't think RED got the full view of pro users....SUCKS not to be able to move the work panels around.

I'm getting the crashing on still store as well.
Cheers,
Harry

Please do this. at least for the monitor panel

I'm Also getting crashes when using the still store both with and without viewing through rocket over sdi. Mac 64 bit, osx 10.6.8. Also ever since the pro version came out, I haven't been able to view the still store over sdi, it only shows up on the GUI, which isn't very useful to me. That's why I've still been using the old build 506 since I can match cameras using my good reference monitor, not the cheap dvi monitor I have.

Tim: please email us a crash log!

Props to the RED team for another quick turnaround on a release. Already amazing, and getting better every day...

Damn.
you guys are smokin'!

(just what I have no idea but - wow!)

thanks.

You can put the monitor window on a second monitor (fullscreen)
I know. It doesnt let you resize or move it around as you see fit. It's a very important function imo. Can't we have some sort of lock/unlock panel option?

NICE, Is there anyway I can move the monitoring panel and resize it? Other than the normal view options i.e View on second monitor/fullscreen

Asked the same question but was told by Red wasn't going to happen.

Mac.
Crash log sent. Sorry, got distracted.
Cheers,
Harry

Agreed. I use multiple monitors and find myself using Red CineX old build so I can resize windows and spread out over two monitors, screen real estate is a good thing, Johnny, was told it wasn't going to happen.

I am having issues exporting DPX files. Export setting is to export each clip into its own folder. If I export one clip, the DPX files will export into their own folder, but when I export the entire project, all of the DPX files go into the same folder. How do I fix this?

For now, use "Bin (all clips)" instead of "Project". The "Project" target currently does not honor the "Sub-folder per clip" export preset option -- it probably will in the future.
