Hey all,

I am needing to remove the in and out points on clips in RCX, and i can't find where to do that. I am sure this is simple and i will kick myself for not seeing it.

Here is why... The director said that we had a locked picture so i sent it to RCX to do a one light. Now he wants to make changes, but i had deleted all the proxies ( i know, i know, but i needed space) now i need to recreate the proxies and it only wants to use the in and outs from the conform.

thanks... I have learned so much from all of you.

You'll have to do this on a clip by clip basis. Open the clip in the viewer, then while holding option/alt click the "set in point" button to clear the in point, and similarly option-click the "set out point" button to clear the out point.

In a future version of RCX there will be an easier way to do this.

will do... thanks for getting back to me. Thankfully it is only a short :)

Not sure if this is related... after i removed the in and outs all the clips export black. The burn-on info is present but there is no picture.

could this be related?

ok i have tried everything that i can think of and my clips are still exporting as black video. Has anyone had this happen? I am using RCX 356

Hey Ken,

Shoot me an email directly to redcinex at red dot com with more details. Rocket card, export preset settings, etc ... along with a verbose log file.

David

I figured it out... it was a corrupt Framing preset. I had to remove it and make a new one before clips would be exported correctly.
