Hi guys - I'm trying to work with my R3D files in RCX for coloring and FCPX for editing. When I used to make color adjustments/grades in RCX they would automatically be reflected in the original R3D files that were imported into FCPX as long as the RMD file was updated/saved in Red Cine. Now the adjustments don't reflect in FCPX. What am I doing wrong here?

Also when applying a 3D LUT in RCX, is there a way to adjust the opacity or the strength of the LUT itself (opacity) like 50% of the color effect vs 100%?

Thank you,

Scott

Some do, Some don't. It's really strange. And my LUT plugin won't allow me to add it to the R3D files like it used to on my old scarlet in FCPX - I'm not sure what to do here.

Only the basic look adjustments will carry over to premier or fcpx. For LUTs don't apply them to the r3d file. Use a LUT utility within fcpx.

Understood however the LUT utility within FCPx allows me to apply it but it won't show the normal dropdown like it used to where I can select the LUT I want.

Thats strange as it shouldn't have anything to do with the R3D files. Does the LUT apply within FCPX to a non-Red clip?
