Build 246, I had same behavior in prior build as well. The browser simply won't display anything. When I go to the menu and manually load a clip or folder there, it loads clips into BIN 1 and not the browser. Dragging clips to browser makes them disappear. Odd and annoying as hell. Tried moving the directory the executable was stored, tried reinstalling, tried searching the forum. Tried finding a bug report thread for B246, not sure where to post this.

Any ideas?

Late 08 octo mac pro, non snow leopard, rocket w/new firmware and drivers, caldigit, blackmagic, 16gb, not sure what else environmentally to report.

I had a similar glitch with B247 today and also a few other glitches. I had to re-install the firmware for the Rocket card. It's kinda weird. The latest drivers need to be installed before you can load the latest firmware, but it seems that with both the latest 1186b and 1186c versions, I've had to go back and re-install the firmware and drivers to get everything working right. Hmmmm...?

247 seems to be working well for me. The only real issue I have is when I close the app it takes a while to close. Not terribly long - maybe 15 seconds or so. B246 and 247 are doing this, but b221 and earlier did not.

Thanks as usual Jeff. Tried all the various uninstall, reinstall machinations. Maybe Deanan or someone else can comment on this specific issue - browser simply does not show anything at all/not functional. All other aspect of the software seem to be fine.

Seeing the same lack of clips in the browser, began to act up late yesterday. No rocket card in our system.

Also the workaround, to open clips into a bin causes issues where by all the spanned files get added and will create their own full length (spanned together) transcodes, so you end up with multiple transcodes.

Phew, at least its not just me.

Phew, at least its not just me.

Now I don't feel like a complete moron at least. So, its a bug others are having...I know its not supported technically...but hopefully the RCX team can chime in or at least have a "duly noted" moment. It makes the program about 1/3 as productive...

Anson, are you using RCX with a RED Rocket or no? What sort of storage is attached to the system? What are your results on other systems? I would definitely get log files over to Deanan.

Rocket yes

Rocket yes

Jeff, my environment was posted above I think - rocket yes, w/current firm+drivers, non snow OS, late 08 mac pro, caldigit online via caldigit ESATA card, various offline ESATA storage, internal fast raid 0 for OS etc.

I will email log files - had not done so as its an environmental issue and not an "event" based bug or issue in rendering, etc - but will do, good call.

Still No Browser

Still No Browser

Now in 252, still no Browser. Deanan, just emailed you log file verbose from startup to opening clips, moving clips. Same enviro.

Anyone come up with a fix? Has to be some environmental tweak, but tried everything....
