I am on set and exported EPIC 5K / 2:1 clips to ProRes 4444 / 1080p 25 and all clips are cut off after the max of 2.15 GB!
What is going wrong?

RCP 3 with RED Rocked lates firmware.

please help, Thank's Michael

Hi Michael,

Have you tried the Quicktime (Exp) export preset? It exists for exactly this problem.
Try that and let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
David

Hi David, I do get much bigger files now, but for example a 2:36 long file stops playing at 2:23. The file sice is 5.3 GB but the last 13 seconds are missing in the Pro Res file.

Pls help me fast, I need to render 800 GB of footage in the next for hours!

Without seeing detailed logs, I can't say what would be causing that.
Are you are writing to a FAT32 drive then? For a fast solution, you'll either have to change the format of the drives you are writing to, or cut up your transcodes so none of them come out over 2.15 GB.

David

No David, the files are now big like 5,3 GB but the last part for example a 2:36 long file stops playing at 2:23. The file size is 5.3 GB but the last 13 seconds are missing in the Pro Res file. And QuickTime player goes on playing but no image appears after 2:23

You'll have to send verbose logs to redcinex at red dot com. But just because the file size is larger than 2.15 gigs doesn't mean it's compatible with the file system. Weird things have been known to occur.
Like I said, safest thing is to either change the format of your drives, or cut up your transcodes.

David

I did that a minute ago, same thing. Boot drive is a Kingston SSD. Raid is a Promise R4 / 6TB.
A test exporting h264 is fine, the whole clip is there- Export with ProRes still the end of the clip missing. 25 to 40 % are not there but just in clips bigger size.
Like 5 GB
