Hi

In the middle of workflow tests still, now with some real work @ hand...

I was at a resort this weekend shooting litterarily hours of stock for a client, and I thought:

Hey. This is an oportunity to check out another workflow - sidestepping FCP totally untill finish...

I load all shots from one day into a RC project.

first question:
Is there an easy way to load all shots into a timeline, and not as stacks?

I spread the shots nicely and started setting in and out points from the "Library/play shot" window.

But it doesn't work....

Do I have to go through FCP-Crimson to get in/out on separate shots?

Then RC crashes. I have saved the project on a separate disk, but after trashing the prefs, the project comes up empty...

Hm

Back to FCP/Crimson I guess?

Or???

For this project it would have been extremely practical to prep all the shots directly in RC, and just go to FCP AFTER preparing the shots.

Ideas?

in & outs, will check it and report.

another question....i couldnt figure out following things...

1.
if i have shots in stacks, lets say 10, how do i scroll to the top of it?

2.
if i make copies of my shots under the Color Tab, and grade different varriations, how can i render out all the variations?

3.
How do i render all shots, and not the timeline only?

I went back to FCP, but working without rendering proxies, now - just for in- and outs. (this is stock, not narrative...)

1.
To scroll, just hold down the mousbutton and drag. The stack will loop.

2.
Not sure if I understand, but if you make copies in the library "add slot" and play from the "play shot" command (rightclick on the relevant shot) and drag the slot you want to grade differently to the command in the rightmost down corner of the screen (what a language!!!) you add the shot/grade to the timeline and it can be rendered out.

3. Again, maybe I misunderstand, but if you use the "separate folder" option in the output, all shots will be rendered individually to... eh... separate folders, but you knew that already, so... ?

thanks: my question 2 and 3 are similar......i wanted to avoid to drag and drop shots to the timeline in the library window...i wanted to know if there is a way to render/export all what is inside the library....

thanks for answer 1...

and gotta train my english...hehe
