Raven too Cold???

Was shooting a music video on a roof top in downtown Ottawa and it was around -15c a bit cold... and my Raven gave me an error while trying to playback and shut down. Only happened once but not sure what the hell happened hopefully wont happen again :shocked: Anyone encountered the same issue? I Love my Raven tho i do not regret dumping my side chick Canon for my sexy RED :hand:

Red cameras are pretty good at holding their own in the cold. If I had to guess, I would say that you were more likely to have battery issues then camera body issues.

Batteries get really wonky really quickly in the cold.

I would send a camera log into RED. I had a similar issue last week where I kept trying to record, it gave me an error message, and it would shut down. It did it about 6 times in a row and then I gave up on it and pulled out my 5d... It ended up working the next day but it did exhibit this issue once, so I figured it to be best if I had RED look into it. Just sent them my log today and they said it appears there might be some hardware issues, so I just sent it in to have them take a closer look at it. I will update you when I hear back from them.

Probably my battery you're right cuz it was low around 15% i remember it went out pretty fast and i was on a roof top wind blowing hard -10c
