Hello 2 questions

1. is it confirmed Raven has no anamorphic mode?

2. if that's the case, how does one shoot anamorphic with Raven, is there any way to cheaply desqueeze 2x squeeze via the monitor that anyone knows of. Presumably some high end field monitors may have this option, any other way?

Thanks

No Raven definitely doesn't have an anamorphic mode mainly bc the ef mount.

As for if any monitors have an anamorphic option, I believe the SmallHD's have a desqueeze up to 2x

well technically you can make anything work within 4k, you can just shoot 4k and frame for 4:3, shoot a chart. though you need a tvlogic or smallhd that unsqueezes the image. as well youd have to use rear or front anamorphic adapters because i dont know if any anamorphic lenses that will go on the EF, yet.

Yes I had planned to use the front adaptors like one of the ebay projector ones that I have that I use often on my R1. I just have no way of unsqueezing it in live view but I will look into TvLogic and SmallHD as my Ikan and Lilliput monitors can't do it, thanks

WHY? Seriously...WHY?

slr magic is making some true anamoprhics with ef mounts I believe.

What do you mean why? Because you get to have the exact anamorphic look of an anamorphic lens for like 150-200$. I've used these cheap anamorphic adaptors on professional broadcast work that's appeared on MTV etc many times.
