The website specs and ops manual claim that the Raven goes up to 300fps. However, the Epic manual also lists 300p as the max when we know it goes up to 400p (albeit at 1K WS).

Does anyone know if the Raven also goes up to 400? Since it's also the Dragon sensor?

Thanks George. Would you happen to know if the same is true for the Scarlet-W? It also lists 300fps as it's max, just not sure if I should trust it or not.

i thought all RED cameras will do 300fps, it's just the scarlet-w and raven do it at 2k with higher compression rates.
the scarlet-w and raven should be identical on everything until you get above 4kHD.

though a couple of years ago i did some high frame rate tests with my DIT on set and the max acceptable compression and high frame rate was 216fps at 2k and i think it was either 5:1 or 6:1…after that it gets fuzzy. so i just say i can do 200fps max.
but new camera systems might be a little better now!

Yes, all of them do 300fps, but the Epic (despite not saying so in the ops manual) is capable of 400fps at 1K WS. I'm trying to figure out if the other cameras can do 400fps as well.

I didn't try anything lower than 2k I'm afraid. But all I know is that all DSMC 2 cameras can shoot at 300fps at 2K. Hope this helps dude

We are working with 96fps at 1080p currently, so anything above the 96fps shooting in 2k/4k is music to our eyes!
