I have to admit it, I'm quite afraid by everything I saw so far claimed to be shot with the raven.

I'm shopping actually between the raven & scarlet-w but I would love to get my hand on some log footage shot by true users.

Happy owners, would you mind sharing some of your beautiful footage ungraded, in r3d or prores422? I think everyone on the raven thread would love it.

Thanks!

The Raven footage out there is TERRIBLE because people that have no idea what they're doing are buying it. We have both a Raven and a Scarlet-W and the footage is virtually identical except for resolution, some aspect, FOV, rations and additional noise (on the Raven) in low light. That being said, even shooting at 4.5K FF on the Scarlet-W has an advantage since the vertical resolution is greater than 4.5K FF on Raven. As a result, a lot of Raven users (myself included) really consider the Raven a 4K camera since the max vert resolution never exceeds 2160p.

You can find footage for download on RED's site: http://www.red.com/sample-r3d-files

Most of it isn't Raven, but you can take anything from a Dragon Camera and crop it down to what the Raven would be able to output.

I would love to share some, but I don't have my Raven yet.

I think from a technical standpoint this is a more mature example of understanding the sensor. https://vimeo.com/190020635

Fishbowl is in production as a feature as I write this, headed into week 2 on Tuesday. fishbowlmovie on instagram if you want some BTS

Thanks for your answers guys. I think Red team should thanks Fishbowl to exist, IMO it's a way better demo of the Raven's capabilities than "Carrion".

Does the additional noise on the Raven vs the Scarlet in the same scene make the footage unusable or it's still okay?

Yah, I too would love to download some other RAVEN R3Ds to mess around with besides the one found on RED.com.... can anyone with a Raven post a few short clips please? Would really appreciate it!
