Raven.... Everything Just Changed.

The NAB timeline for the "official" announcement for the Weaponized Scarlet Dragon (we all know we'll get a lot of hints prior) is perfectly fine for me. Plenty of time to get our Dragon investments paid off before jumping into the next latest-and-greatest.

But then, waiting for so long, the new scarlet will be available late 2016 and the new red sensor will be announced a few months later. Again I'll have that feeling that my camera has a short lifetime. Maybe next time we could have the scarlet upgraded first ^^

I think the hints are good enough for the little guys (Cash in the pocket) can plan in advance. Like right now I can go for the Red Scarlet Dragon. But I want to wait and see any hints, if there's a path from Scarlet D to the new Scarlet, to make a decision. Waiting to long for me on a brain is not good since I do use it a lot. Then again, I don't wan to get in a wrong path to upgrade! Hints are always grateful! Been a Red Camera owner since Scarlet came out, now its been less than a month since I sold my scarlet, and I am going nuts. LOL I need to buy one and soon!!!

Maybe on the new RED sensor, etc. But even so, it'll be a "tock" cycle in development, which means a sensor upgrade- not a new camera.

I dunno, I guess I'm not too worried about it because I have the tools with Scarlet Dragon to do just stunning things- I'm directing a weeklong shoot for BMW next week, for instance. The SD is small enough and powerful enough to do almost everything I want, outside of slow-mo (and even then, 72fps or so at 4KWS is enough for a lot of stuff with Twixtor involved). I just think the SD is a really sweet spot for what I do, right now. And I get it, everyone's mileage will vary.

HaHa you mean like Apple, bringing out a new iPhone every year. Investors are happy if the sales justify the increasing costs.

The Optitron 2 is amazing with the Scarlet now. . . it's going to be perfect with the Raven. But don't forget that glorious Sigma Art 18-35 f1.8 zoom, too. It's a killer lens with the Optitron!

Because ZE and ZF lenses don't have internal motors, so they can't be controlled by the Optriton.

Is HDRx enabled in Raven?
Also, which OLPF is built into Raven?

Do you mean an Epic X? It sounds like you're about to be scammed. 10 Batteries alone would be half the cost of a Raven i'd assume depending what they are....
