Ok - so I have four GlobalMediaPro bricks from my previous kit - I was looking at the I/O V mount plate for the Raven. The HDMI out looks fairly close to where the battery would sit. I was wondering if these batteries will still work, or do I have to sell them, get some extra cash, and buy the RED Brick package to make sure it all fits? Here's what I have: https://www.globalmediapro.com/dp/A00TS6/Globalmediapro-Li160S-Lithium-ion-Battery-160WH/ x 4 with a charger. It was fairly expensive so I'd hate to be stuck with them and no way to move them - I'd rather be able to use them on the new camera. Can anyone answer?

I can't answer that, but I do see that the specs indicate the Global batteries are going to be just shy of 1/2" wider than the brick:

According to GlobalMedia specs, their batteries are 5.9" high x 4.01" wide x 1.93" deep.
And Red Brick batteries are 6.46" high x 3.54" wide x 2.05" deep.

The V-Lock I/O unit itself is 4.94" wide -total-, which I assume includes the port bay as well.

So, you've got about .93" to spare between the width of the Global and the total width of the I/O. Could be tight, but I'll wait for someone from Red to chime in with the real answer.

That's what I was afraid of. Sounds super tight and the HDMI out is butted right where the battery is - judging from the pics. May need to sell the bricks and put that towards the RED six pack.

Im planning on getting PAGlink PL96e for my Scarlet-W i/o v mount. I love the size and the fact that you can stack them for both running the camera and for charging, plus the travel charger they have is so tiny.

When stacked, only 1 battery charges at a time though, right?

So this battery thing is actually an issue?

I have COMER V-Mounts and am not sure if they'll fit on there.

Not sure that's what I'm trying to figure out. I saw Jarred post on FB a new slim battery by switronix which makes me think it will be needed... If so I have four lightly used GMP batteries that will be up for sale..

Just held off ordering slim batteries for now.

Reasons:
+) Red will not be incorporating REDVOLT into the new sidehandle
+) Guessing that a new higher energy density XL & Brick with similar Wh capacities (but lighter) wil come out in 2016...
