Raven and Ronin M

Do you think the Raven with the base i/o expander module can fit the Ronin M? Can't seem to find the dimension specs of the Raven Brain, so that I could try and calculate if its possible

Hard to tell until someone will actually try that, but I think it will;
even if Raven is the same width and depth as epic, there is still enough room on the right side and back of the camera to fit it with expander on Ronin M , and even with the base i/o expander Raven is still half pound lighter than Epic .

Sure.. From the NOFILMSCHOOL review of Scarlet-M it seems like the Raven is smaller: " By placing SCARLET-W next to RAVEN, I was able to see just how small RAVEN actually is, though SCARLET-W (and the rest of the DSMC² line), isn't much bigger."

I sure hope so !
The Base i/o expander module doesn't seem to add to much weight compared to the JetPack, depending of course if you mount a V-Mount battery on it or the gimbal (or a belt).

Size wise, it looks ok. I built a paper model based on the Weapon dimension specs and it easily fits.
I have a feeling it's gonna be a bit tricky to balance because of its height, might need Vertical extension arms

I've tested Dragon with Ultra prime 24mm on Ronin-M (with extensions) and it works very nice.

Has anyone had experience running a gimbal setup with the Redvolt XL as the power source? Or is it too long/backheavy?

Understood on the Ronin-M... sorry, I should have been more specific... I have a Ronin (full-size) with extension arms... just trying to determine if I will clear the bar with an XL module and battery on the back of the Ronin. Any Dragon users with this setup?

In my opinion it's impossible to fit Raven/Scarlet-W/Weapon with any module or battery on Ronin M. I have trayed it (on super shitty configuration - no monitor, battery was external thru lemo etc), it's possible but it was super unusable. On big Ronin it's necessary to have XL/extended arms and will fit even with Redvolt XL comfortably.

That's why I'll be using my Raven on the Ronin M with my jet pack set up.
