Rare Full Moon shooting opportunity 3-19-11

Today [Saturday, March 19] also marks the Moon’s closest approach to Earth this month, a position called perigee. At 3:09 p.m. EDT, our satellite comes within 221,565 miles of Earth’s center. This makes tonight’s Full Moon the largest of 2011.

That said, I should have shot this yesterday. It was low and bright, but there was a lot of sunlight still... didn't get to see, but there might have been some direct sunlight still if I checked earlier. That could have been cool.

Nice Tim looks awsome. Did you do any timelapse? Great pictures are rolling in here in The Netherlands. It was amazing weather today. Shame I found out too late about this spectacular moonrise. Like you I would defenitly taken a water scenery but would have taken at least two exposures at the time. One to smear ever bump in the water.

No I didn't do a timelapse, I did try to take a video with my GH1 but the lens I had wasn't long enough...
