Looks like there will be some GDU side wing handles, and possibly some Timmy ribs. Wonder when those will be avail outside of a package. I'm sure Wooden, Tilta etc. are working on cages. But, I anticipate needing some grippy side handles for that heavy FF glass.

P.S. Thank you red for not going with the BP power source (A la Komodo), although there probably isn't a BP battery that can cover the amps or capacity req.

Here's a render of the "Production Pack" that Red are releasing for the Raptor. Given that (presumably) the majority of people are going to need the AUX power outputs that it adds to the camera, I'll be interested to see if we actually get as many 3rd-party options as we usually would. As there's not a whole lot you'd need to add to a kit like this.

Lens adapters with internal filter setups is probably going to be the big area for solutions. It looks like a lot have already been designed around Komodo, so presumably we'll see them all transferred across (which Raptor-specific support brackets).

I'm particularly interested to see Red's eND PL-mount. Fingers (firmly) crossed, that they find a way to make it totally sealed - so that you can switch between the eND and Clear, without having to physically remove a filter tray from the lens mount (a la Kippertie et al.). That's the unicorn we're all hoping for:

To all those whom received their cameras already or those who will be receiving their ST Raptors in the next few days/weeks, How do you plan on building it out or shooting with it?

I plan on likely trying to create a few builds to move from a shoulder kit to a handheld kit onto sticks, but because of the lack of current AKS form built and the lack of the monitors as of right now. (which is due to change quite soon with production models around the corner I would assume)

I think that the XLR module is just great for running a lav and a shotgun on the body for tight spaces when you cannot always have a location recorder. The top handle and a 19/15mm rail system for a shoulder kit are going to be great as well for the flexibility of rigging and shooting too.

Overall i'd like to keep my kit fairly light, sub 7kg under most circumstances and I think with what I've seen, that shouldn't be an issue.

Hopefully RED releases the production pack as an accessory kit similar to the production pack produced for DSMC2, as the accessories shown would be great for a most of the shooting I do.

Any info about price and availability ?

Will there be a handle with wheel on it that can control the iris of EF Lenses like DSMC 2? Do the top pins have control for this? I always wondered if Komodo had this ability. Touching that screen to adjust iris is a pain.

Kyle it seems like support for the Canon RF to EF lens mount with the function ring is coming. It's currently grayed out in the menu. This is going to be really nice. We have that mount and while it is not functioning yet, it seems even more intuitive than a dial on the handle.

but if you want to use specialty mounts like kipper tie or breakthrough, you can’t adjust it. Then you need an in front of the lens ND solution.

Kyle...yes for sure. Pretty easy to also program in two of the keys close to side handle for iris. That is what I'm doing now. Komodo side handle with run/stop and then the 3/4 keys are iris up and down.

How'd you get the Komodo Outrigger to trigger Run/Stop? It's not working on my Raptor.

Will we be able to use the same Revolva EF to RF for the Komodo and the Raptor?
@PhilHolland, did you have the time to try?
I noticed the Revolva cartridge on Jarred's post about the WSF Raptor.
I wonder how the Revolva works on Raptor VV interns of body clearance but also sensor coverage.

I asked Kipper Tie and they said the mount was compatible and it would be compatible with most VV lenses. No specifics on which ones.

Thanks Fergus, good to know.
Depending on when Red will announce their eVND lens mounts, Revolva may be my go to go with Raptor and Komodo.

Think they're just referring to the user assignable keys slots 1-8 (see manual page 118) besides the two rec the only keys are on the op panel

so how do you hold a handle with the right hand , supporting body or lens with left hand and hit buttons on the right side of camera? Seems to me the more I think about this, I feel like the UI and buttons should be on cam left. Or at least have a couple user buttons on cam left.
