Hi folks,
I know the VND for Raptor is coming with PL data through the mount, and was wondering if theres any way to send lens data in realtime to a virtual environment like Unreal Engine from the Raptor. RED's are being touted as VP-friendly, yet I can't see anything like this available (Arri has Live Link plugin for UE etc).

DCS make incredible accessories for this purpose, but they cost a fortune and don't sell the model I'd want (rental only). It's promising that the upcoming mount has full data and I hope this is sign for the future. Perhaps somewhere in Red Control pro (although I feel latency would be an issue) or using the usb-c / gig-e ports on the Raptors is the solution.

Perhaps RED are working on something right now for this?

In camera wireless transmission to a VP host with camera + lens data would be a KILLER feature.

Have you considered our stYpe RedSpy. If you are interested we could organize a demo use period for you to test.
In the new version 3.0, we will have the wireless connectivity module coming in a month or two, and in the meantime you could use a lightweight ethernet cable.

Thanks Stype! Always happy to look at other systems and I've contacted you directly. In the meantime, I'd still love to see other options (hopefully something in camera).

Just use the Arri UMC-4 motor controller and the arri livelink unreal plugin - you will get live fiz for the virtual camera. The virtual camera's DOF will be off as there is obviously only an option to specify arri sensor size, but you can override it. The new PL mount will be great, but only to get the lens metadata into the r3d headers for vfx post, not really needed for walls.
