Anyone have any early thoughts on a case for the V Raptor?

I'm hoping to build out a pelican 1510 (for convenient air travel), but am curious if there are any other options that I may not have heard yet.

Maybe you could reach out to Jason Cases and see what their timeline for a Raptor case is. They also make custom cases, so I'm sure you could just provide them the necessary dimensions for the fitted interior.

That is a great call. I've briefly looked into Jason Cases as well as Case Builder. I do really appreciate the custom cuts. I do wonder about versatility, as my kit changes so much depending on the shoot. I've had a lot of luck with traveling with one backpack and two Pelican 1510s, able to bring two camera bodies and a few primes, along with all the necessary batteries, chargers, media, filtration, etc. I usually check a tripod and/or slider.

That said, I am always on the lookout for more efficient storage and transportation ideas.

I feel you, that's the main reason I've held off on buying a fitted Jason Case for now. I'm currently rocking a Pelican Air with the yellow soft-padded dividers, which has been really nice for adjusting fits depending on daily kit. Still gotta play a little bit of Tetris, and it's not the *most* elegant solution, but for now it works fine.

Twins. That is my exact setup, yellow padded-dividers and all. For more local shoots I use a pelican 1560, but with Raptors smaller size, it might be nice to move to something closer to the 1510 so I can fly with it.

This will seem crazy to some but pick and pluck foam with hot glue hidden in the important seams. Takes a bit of extra time but you get custom cut fit that’s totally padded without it tearing at all. It’s way cheaper than Jason or other custom inserts that are never really perfect for your accessories anyways.

01. I primarily travel extensively and check in all my gear. That said, when I travel to Latin America or the Caribbean I will carry a body, batts and a prime in a 1510 or pair of 1510's.

02. Traditionally my de-facto cases are the Pelican 1650's but last year I decided to lighten the load with Pelican Air cases. So in an effort to have a case were I can store a fully built rig where I can run and gun to multiple locations without breaking down I invested in 1607's... I use the pluck foam/glue while I develop the exact fit. Then I use the case in the field to confirm fitment and functionality. When all is good I have custom foam cut by Steve and Phillip of Guard Dog Inserts in Canada.

03.
