Raptor and preformatting cards leads to reel reset on parachuted card

Just curious if anyone has run into this

Preformat cards A001, A002, A003 for example

Use cards A001 through A003 without issue

Card A001 is parachuted by DIT

Parachuted card automatically is requested to be formatted by the camera as it has no file system

Secure format offered, selected

Card is now formatted as A001 instead of A004

Not a dealbreaker but a minor inconvenience and could cause a bit of trouble if not caught

Did not happen when using cards sequentially without preformatting

I haven’t run into this, but it’s likely that’ll be in my near future. Thanks for the heads up. Have you filed a support ticket with RED?

I am unfamiliar with the term "parachuted". So what does the DIT do to parachute a card?
Is this the same as formatting the card after ingested?
