Hi everyone,

I couldn't find out if this was possible:
I'm shooting at 25fps,and during this same shot i would like to start a ramping.
I read somewhere that I need a GPI triger, but isn't it possible to start ramping via an assignable button?
Build 15?
Build 16?

Thanks a lot. Julien.

Only via an external trigger (GPI)

Stuart will that change with feature builds or are we always going to need a another device to trigger the ramping.

I've been toying with for a bit, as I don't think it would be that hard to make a simple one. I believe Mark posted at one point that it was just a short between pins one and two. If so simple enough. But before I started "sticking things on my Red" I'd love for somebody from Red to give a few more tech details about the GPI.

View Factors Origo is a good option or if you want to make your own, read through the Ops Guide for the pin outs etc. Its just a short between two pins.

The red i've been using has a custom made ramp trigger from an converted arri on/off grip. how it's wired, i'm not sure but it works.

as for ramping, the owner told me not to do it yet since it doesn't feel quite right, like it's too linear of a jump, not softend at the top and bottom like a slight S-curve would be. don't know if anyone else experienced this

Origo...Start Stop

Cool. Are these shipping as of now? IIf so that's a good option. And Stuart if you would be so kind, do you know which two pins the short should occur between? I've read the manual and believe I know but would love confirmation. Thanks.
