  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thank you for the many personal reactions, we have selected a few RED users who will test the cover. These people are in countries close to us.

At the end of this week we will have some covers ready and ship them.
Our goal is to have them available within 3 weeks from now.

The price will be around US $ 200,-

Also we would like to know if people need a snowcover.

I will keep you updated.

I definitely want one. . .

. . . but would someone please explain to me why a raincover won't double as a snow cover??? Last time I checked, snow was frozen rain.

ok my turn,

For the raincover we use a special fabric wich is especially made for us. This is a lightweight, strong silent material. Colour black.

Our snowCoat is build from 20 layers thermal material, on the inside are pocktes to put warmers in.

Ofcourse rain is frozen snow , the snowCaot is not only to protect against frozen rain but mainly against extremer cold. This cover will not only protect the camera against cold ( most camera's should be able to work under cold conditions ) but will also protect for example the batteries. To make content you need to protect the whole system inlcuding the accessories and power.

Is this enough ;-) maybe we should have called it the cold cover.:cold:
 
The first test was done this weekend, we need to make a few more adaptions, later this week the next test will be done. I also hope to put a nice picture on the forum after that test.
 
I've seen photos and it looks nice, I will most probably order it.
