Hi Redusers!

Since this is the "Shot on Red" forum I just wanted to give you this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5gcTdsWI8A

It´s 30 minute film that we filmed in august and this is the first trailer. This trailer was not graded (ruff one light) or treated in the best way so please don´t kill me for it... It just came out of Final Cut.

Hope you´ll enjoy, those of you who know Swedish...

Looks good, Christian. Looking forward to see a color corrected version.

Wow! What can I say? Thank you for the nice responce!

Jim, I will make shure to get a translated version up as soon as possible. Since we are producing this movie out of our own pockets and hours i might get the whole movie up later this fall.

Info about the movie: We set out to portrait the 50´s in sweden. Back then we only had 1 or 2 radiostations and none of them where playing rock and roll. So in this movie the main caracters are trying to listen to Rock and roll but need to buy a radio to receive Radio Luxemburg, the only channel playing that kind of music. So they get a job at the local cinema to make some money. In a locker they find dussins of movies that have been censored by the local priest for it´s nudity and modern lifestyle. So the priest in the village loses people at the church to cinema. So this end up with a conflict between the kids and the priest who also collects pinups/nude pictures...

We filmed for two weeks in Dalarna, Sweden this august. The crew of about 10 people and the cast plus extras worked really hard to pull it off. Doing the 50´s is harder than you think... and cost more than you want.

The camera worked great and we are happy with the look of the film. Now we just started editing and hope to have it out before xmas. This is just a sideproject, so our fulltime jobs go first.

Thanks!

Looks great. Please let us know when it's released. Would love to go to the releaseparty... =)

Very impressed over what people are able to pull off on "non-existing" budgets. This is truly an impressive feat. Everyone who's been on a film-set knows how many things are needed and how many loose end that need to be tightened up to make a production. Great work. Would love to see Behind-the-scenes stuff from this.

Also, this movie was shot only using the Red 18-50 and 50-150mm zooms. Worked great, and looks great. Only way to make the budget...

Thanks Jim & RED!
