In 2004, she posed for Esquire wearing a boa. (See pic) Not one of those feathery scarves popular in the twenties -- we're talking a live snake, carefully draped around her otherwise naked body so the mag could still be sold at Wal-Mart. At that time, her biggest film was The Mummy, and she was promoting Envy, a movie so bad that Jeffrey Katzenberg would later apologize for producing it. Today she's got one Oscar under her belt and a bunch of prestige projects on the way...

I saw Agora in Cannes last year, 2 rows in front of her... Boy, what a film, one of the greatest story about science-meets-religion I've ever seen... Very ambitious, makes you hate men stupidity, if you make it through the couple of hours the film lasts, you'll love it and be more keen on keeping an open mind and heart after seeing it... Questions will wander in your head for a long time after you come out of the cinema...
