  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Great, but wouldn't this require you to have reverse engineer the R3D file format. I'm pretty sure RED is not going to allow this. I'm also pretty sure R3D trimming will be implemented into Redcine-X very soon. Rob said "soon" when someone asked for trimming at RED DAY in Feb.

This sounds amazing. I would love to test it.

Is it possible to import an EDL from Avid into Redcine-X? If not then I think this program still holds strength.

Is this PC or Mac? If it's PC, I'm definitely interested in beta testing! Am on the beta team for Adobe CS5 if it helps and you want to test against that ;)

no reverse engineering done. playing it by the rules :)

How can that be the case?

This tool has not been developed with RED support and we cannot gaurantee that files created by this tool will work properly or continue to work properly in the future.

As someone mentioned earlier, RED is working on this as well and will release something shortly that will be fully supported.

As the designer of the R3D file format I would not advice anyone to use unsanctioned tools like these.

Thank you,

And just in case you don't know, Rob is the designer of the R3D format.
