does it come out as digital noise on half the frame ? I had this but it only happens sometimes. cpu render got rid of it. but it is strange

thanks Bing,
yes is strange.....

why whit redrocket not work and whit only cpu is a mysteriusssss....

I get this error and issues time to time.

For some files its permanent for others a simple reboot fixes it.

So glad it hasn't happened on any serious work to date.

If the compression is at 1:4 and lower, the rocket cannot decode certain type of footage that contains high-details such as leaves or trees.
The only solution known is CPU debayer.

I have never gone lower than 6:1.

My issues are sporadic and not once had any with foliage.

I shoot a lot of trees :)

Try the latest Rocket driver & firmware in combination *with* RCX build 20. Both were released on Friday last week and should fix issues like these. You will need the new firmware, driver and RCX for this fix to work.

Just got this issue for the first time... I think. Shooting MTB'ers riding through wooded areas at 150 fps 4k ws, knocked out transcodes for editor and got digital noise on half of some frames which looks like pulsing and noise played back at 25fps. Latest drivers and RCX-P 20. Trimmed R3D's crash RCX-P. I thought my RR my be broken.

Looks great using software decode when RR is taken out.

Sent mine back for checkup. But my second rocket in my second machine is the same... CPU/GPU doesn't show it but RR does...
