People have already created ql plugins for DPX and many other formats. With R3D production being a world with a huge number of OS X users I thought it might be a good idea to check if a R3D quicklook plug-in already existed, was on the roadmap, or I there were people interested?

I don't know the ins and outs of how developers work with R3D footage, but I would imagine this would be possible to develop. Giving simple thumbnail support in finder and possibly even basic playback support. Just not sure if this is something people need with the QT wrappers, and all the other tools out there.

In any case. Even though most aren't necessarily dealing with Finder to manage R3Ds, it would be great to have this integrated as part of the RedCine-X or Storm install.

I might just put together a feature request for Storm, since I know the folks at The Foundry aren't busy at all right not ;)

May look into this one myself. . .

Perfect! Thanks for chiming in and glad to here it is on the way!

Woo! How about throwing in a proper EXR QL Plug-In as well just for yucks? ;)

Well something I have always wanted was something that would allow sequence playback, right in quicklook. There are other image viewing QL plugins that give a lot more information. Even being able to scrub through image sequences in quicklook would be fantastic. A full-on image viewer/playback tool would be even better. Basically I want the Nuke viewer every time I press spacebar with an image sequence selected ;D
