Hi. New Red user here, and first-time poster.
've used RedCine-X 42.41605 to create QT wrappers for R3D files. When I try to open them in Quicktime Player 10.4, I get a short progress bar which says "converting" followed by the error message: "QuickTime Player can't open 'FILENAME.mov'"
I've installed RED Apple Workflow release 11, and R3D files play fine in both Premiere and FCPX. I have the REDCODE.QT.component file in my /Library/Quicktime folder. I've followed all of the instructions in this video, but where he's able to play a video in Finder at 0:32, I'm not.
Basically, I just want to be able to use quickview to browse redmags easier in the Finder, but am at a loss.
Also, when I try to search this forum for "QT Wrappers", all I get are old posts and whispers of feature deprecation. So I can't tell if I'm asking about a feature that usually works well for everyone, one that nobody uses, or one that's been deprecated but still lingers.
Again, I'm a brand new at all of this, so please forgive me if I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks!
