R3D in After Effects is washed out!!

Anyone know why the R3d in After Effects is washed out with the same setting in RED Alert it looks normal?/

I have to set Contrast to 45 to get it to look right. Something is very wrong here!

Have you turned off Linear Light?

- right-click on the R3D file in the AE project window.
- click Interpret Footage
- click on Color Management tab
- turn off Linear Light

In the PDF there is a brief mention, but it assumes that you set up "rules" for AE import.

Unfortunately there is either a typo in those rules, or a bug in AE. I don't know which, so we have to do what I described above instead.
