Hey all,
We are looking for some actual r3d files to test our workflow. Not h.264 or ProRes, but the actual r3d files prior to RedAlert. Any help would be greatly apperciated. Doesn't need to be any special footage- even footy of the parking lot would be fine. We would be happy to provide FTP or cover any expenses to ship media to us. Feel free to send a PM if you prefer.

Thanks!

Pwwwweeeeees.... any body out there?

Right, I would like to request both things. R3d files and REDAlert.

I am getting my cam around February and would like to start practicing ASAP. If anyone would be so kind to send them to me, please PM to arrange it. I will gladly send them screen caps of my reservation e-mail or anyhting that's necessary.

I would then, if allowed, share my findings on different export settings and workflows with the community. I have wide experience in posproduction and CC and I think it could be of some help.

Thanks in advance.

Be patient, wait until Red Cine is out. I will be selling a set of DVDs with raw R3D files. My goal is to be able to let everyone start working on their Red Code workflow.

Cool Shawn!

I still need some clips and RedAlert because I have some customers to impress and a workflow to work on to get them to jump on the wagon...

If I may be frank, I'd like a set of three:

1. With spot overexposure
2. Nicely shot
3. Underexposed

I know I am way out here, but it would be really important, if it is in any way possible. I will be renting a Red because of the delays, but I still need to have a little proof of concept show by monday...

OK

delete if not appropriate...

Hi Shawn and or anyone who might respond to this...

If you have taped any one of your Show & Tell sessions I would really love to have / Buy a copy...

I have been here a while and though the learning curve seems to be evening out there is still vast terrain for me to cover...Any chance to watch demonstrations from you guys who really know what is what is greatly apprieciated.

Thanks,

D.D.

Cheeky monkey. Always looking out for the brethren. :)

I'm hoping the eminent REDCine release will include example r3d files. Jim said they were going to release example files to the public back in late august so... it's been in the cards now for a while.

Well frig, that would sink my plans.

Sorry Shawn

Sorry Shawn

Once I get work together comparing RED and FILM workflows, I will be making all my R3D files accessible, circa 90GB if I can find the place and bandwidth.

Sorry to cut your money making idea :-)... but this wont be until end of this year or early next year.... so you can make a buck before then :-)

And speaking about making money how about some of those taped demostrations for those of us at the back of the line cheering you on with every new triumf?

D.D.

Shawn I'm sure there will still be a market for your files, especially if you were to include some FCP workspaces, REDCine files and a short tutorial on how to use your project examples.

You could call it a pipeline in a box.

Not every studio has a technical director or equivalent to munch through workflows and develop a company's pipeline.

You might even want to have example pre-transcoded files with REDCine workspaces etc for both offline and online workflows through FCP.

Setting up a client pipeline demonstration is a lot of work! The ability to just copy/paste it off of a DVD and have some pretty footage with a cooking show "and now we'll just pull this out from under the counter all done..." style to the examples would be mint.

I just want to see a r3d file...I could care less about RedCine

What Gavin said.

Thanks Gavin, I like that, I could do that well.

Anyone else?
