Hey all,

I've emailed Red Support but maybe this is an issue someone has seen before.
After wrapping on a shoot i've gone through the footage and one of my clips has distorted.
It's cut the image up vertically and shifted part of it to the left and made it a blue channel.
Heres a link to the screenshot.

My main concerns is how the corruption may have occurred and it's likelihood of recurring.
Happy to answer questions to help diagnose the issue.

The issue was only on one clip.

Screenshot is in log and was shot on a grey background.

Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Literally logged on to post about the same problem. Looking for a solution too.

Hey Camen,

Yeah I got a reply from RED Support.
They checked my Log files from the card and couldn't find a hardware fault and suggested that it may have been because I have not secure formatted my cards.
Secure formatting the cards defrags and helps prevent these issues occuring.
Apart from that if you need a solution try and play the clip back in camera and if needed get an atmos ninja recorder put if redlogfilm and record the footage.

Hope this helps.

Awesome. Thanks for the tip. Secure formatting from here on out. I think I had an improper shutdown or two that day. Also good tip on the atoms. I'll try that right now.
