I have been using version 6.1 of R3D Data Manager on a TV series for the past 10 weeks. On day 48 of 48 the program has started coming up with checksum issues on every mag. When I check the errors, it has an issue with the checksums on the Red drive and both of my backups. This is all on my MacPro system, but it works fine on my MacBook Pro with version 6.1 on the same mag. But by going back to version 5.4 on my MacPro everything works fine. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

It's a known issue and Conrad and the team are working on it. I am still using 5.4 because of this issue.

That's really too bad because it's been working great for the last 10 weeks and it's wayyy faster than 5.4.

I had way too many problems and the data I'm dealing with is way too important, I downloaded 32 16GB cards to several locations in about an hour.

I don't know if the exact cause is known, but I've had problems on several different Mac Pros with 6.1, I really am looking forward to using it once it's been fixed. Then maybe I can download 32 cards in 30 minutes :)

Has this issue been fixed?

Ya I think the problems have been fixed. At least I didn't have any issues on my last feature I just finished, though since my previous issues I have swapped my boot drive for solid state. I also found that on busy days I have to swap out my Lexar card reader halfway through the day, I started getting checksum errors just from the reader.

If your using a Lexar reader all day long its bound to do things like this. Firewire readers get hot. Most have no ventilation either....
