Hello! recently I was wondering if i'm the only one who can't get working
quicktimes (in any codec) out of REDCINE. for instance, if i try to output
a 2k ProRes file it would render the entire clip from in to out - but as soon
trying to playing it in quicktime the movie would freeze after 20 seconds..

i know this has been addressed ages ago but i'm wondering if something changed..
the only working way so far seems to be REDCINE>dpx>AfterEffects>Quicktime.
Would save me a hell of work if the direct output would work.

thanks!

...dunno if that matters

Some info about your system would help us to help you.

running redcine on an imac - newest system and (unfortunately) newest quicktime..

if the quicktimeversion is the reason for that - well bad luck - but then i know it...

thanks for further help.

And ... I would not use REDCINE, I had so many problems on my mac (8 core, fcp 6.0.3, qt 7.4.5) it would render a qt and then I would have 2 gb of a still file. Used RedAlert and it was all better !
