@Duran, @Deanan etc.... Can anyone at RED comment on why, by default, Quicktime files rendered via the SDK, redline, RedAlert etc. don't match how they look in RedAlert or on the video outputs of the camera?

To explain, when rendering REDCODE footage to ProRes Quicktimes, files always come out more 'flat' than they appear in RedAlert or on the video tap. Adding 0.30 to the contrast setting seems to match the Quicktime files to how they look in RedAlert.

This appears to be a calibration issue with the SDK in how it creates Quicktime files. Any others have this issue? Any plans by RED to improve on this?

FYI the settings for the attached files are as follows:
* RedAlert screenshot, and three Quicktime Player screenshots with default rendering, +0.3 added to contrast, and +0.5 added to contrast
* 1K debayer to ProRes SQ, 720x486 with fit-mode: squeeze
**Quicktime player has "Final Cut Studio Colour Compatibility" checked in the preferences and the display's ICC profile has a gamma of 2.2.
* The quicktime with 0.50 contrast added looks correct on a monitor with 1.8 gamma - i.e. Macs by default - but is too contrasty on PCs and on video, which have a gamma of 2.2.
