Are proxy QT files similar to RedOne currently implemented with the Epic? If not, will we get this feature soon? I like working with FCP / Color with my Red MX and was hoping to keep that same work flow with Epic. If not, I'll jump to CS5.5.

You may want to jump to CS5.5 whether or not proxies are implemented in the future... :)

In tests I've seen from Cioni, I believe it was "Color" which performed the worst debayering results.

The Epic doesn't do proxies on camera as of today... Yo need to create them in post... It only records R3D's.

And it appears that Color cannot read those R3D's, so, you'll need something else to grade it, like Resolve.

No QT proxies... Good riddance, IMO.

Head for Adobe CS5.5... FCP/FCS/Color is broken for Epic files and online workflow anyhow -- you would have to generate your own QT / ProRes or whatever files to edit with and then reconform in something that supports R3Ds -- Scratch, Resolve, etc..
