In the most recent redcentre podcast Mike mentions that Apple (may) have fixed the quicktime gamma problem. It was unclear (to me) whether that was just in the new laptops, or a software upgrade generally available. Does anyone know more about this?
A related question (apologies in advance if it's a dumb one): in relation to gamma and quicktimes, for clips destined for the web, should I adjust the gamma so that the QTs appear "as I want the contrast/image to be", given QTs are what people will be viewing the clips as? In other words, I don't need to be concerned about the gamma shift, use the QT file as the master?
Cheers
