  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Questions about my graphics card

You will be able to transcode RED footage to something like ProRes at 1080p or log and capture in FCP to ProRes to edit. The transfers will be several times slower than real time.

In this instance, your graphics card will make no difference. However, your CPU and number of threads available (when using REDCine, but not FCP) will.

Plenty of people view, transcode and edit RED footage on MacBook Pros. You will be fine with a modern iMac.
