Not sure if this is a dumb question (but haven't been able to find a clear answer so far
) is it possible to feed audio into the Zoom F8 via its USB connector (For example via the USB output of a Sound Devices MixPre-D). Or do these USB connections only work with a computer, for use as a USB interface?
I am trying to feed the MixPre-D's XLR Outputs elsewhere and am wondering if there is any way to still send a full quality signal to the F8 from the MixPre-D without using either of its XLR outputs? I know the Tape Out is available as an unbalanced option.
-----
On a somewhat related note, is using an XLR splitter a terrible idea, or is there a way to do it right (with a particular type of splitter)? Assuming this is only for in-camera reference audio.
Thanks for any advice which can be provided.
