Question regarding Proxy to Color workflow

I have a client who edited their project with M proxy files, and now we wish to Grade in Color.

By sending his Proxy XML to Color, and resizing the output resolution, we appear to have full access to the RED tab in Color. I assume this means we are reconnected to to the original R3D files at 12bit 2k. Color does not seem to be able to read the grade from the RSX files living with the R3Ds, or am I missing something?

On a related note. I am more used to the ProRes offline workflow, but with 1k M Proxies, what should my FCP Kona display settings be (1920x1080, 1280x720, or...)?

No, at this time you can't read the RSX file from within color, but you could open it up in RedAlert, use the same settings, and then apply to all.

Also, yes, you are using the R3D file at 12 bit for grading. If you run into the 'loop bug' on longer files, then run Hans' colorfixer app to get ridd of it.
